The weather has been scorching as of late. I'm soaking up every last day of it knowing that fall is just around the corner. I can't wait to crack out sissy's pumpkin bread recipe. Pumpkin bread is by far the best long-ride snack .
Yesterday I had a bee fly down my jersey, into my sports bra, and sting me right on the boob. I woke this morning and it felt like I had been slugged in the sternum with a baseball. Not only was the right breast a little "poofy", but fluid had sunk down and started to fill around the top portion of my abs. Weird! I've discovered over the years that I have an unusual reaction to stingers. Last year I had a bee fly into my sunglasses and sting me on the bridge of my nose. The next day, both eyes had swollen about half-way shut. The Dr. says it's not a true allergic reaction and that there's no need to carry a steroid pin. I just want to know how I can get the left side to poof up so I can show a little cleav. After all, I did just celebrate two months of being single.
Spent the day today with two of my favorite bloggers, chatty cat and the rickster. We were all having a pretty lousy day on the mini golf course. At least the conversation was good.

yes, I was sorry to hear about the bee sting. But, at least you could work it for a little 'enhancement'. Too bad it was only on the one side :)
We had a lot of fun mini-golfing with you. I'm glad we didn't keep score, because I was WAY over par! Good thing we all have cycling as a fall back sport :)
Par, what par? Wasn't the third hole meant to be a par 30?
Seriously, I am with you on the pumpkin: bread, pie, scones ... I am a pumpkin fan-atic. One of the first long rides I took Ms. Chatterbox on, over the hills then back up Tunitas Creek, it was the pumpkin bread I was carrying that fueled her home when she was bonking 20 miles from home. Last week Starbucks started the fall season by re-introducing pumpkin to the lineup. I need to stay away ;-)
okay, this is so obvious, but I've been stung five times this year and someone told me I should zip my jersey except when I'm climbing. doh! maybe you should too!
Where are the pictures?
