believer

That's it, I'm a believer in the blind date. Last night, two strangers were set up on a blind date and managed to enjoy a great evening of wine, laughs and flirtatous gestures. I even snagged a kiss at the end of the night!

There were plans made for date numero dos, but it's going to have to wait a few days because Ma & Pa are coming into town. Let's hope all the festivities of the Tour of California can keep my anticipation at bay.

cherry pie

It's weekends like this past weekend that make me fall in love with California all over again. Can't beat riding in your shorts and a short sleeve shirt in February!

I had my first race of the season, the Cherry Pie crit up in Napa. What a great course! We had a safe group of women and the pace was smoking! I placed 7th in my category and 13th overall. 7th was my best finish last year so I'm off to a good start to the season.

Well, I should have more fun and exciting updates to post mid week. I have my first date (in a long time) this Wednesday! :)

jars in town

I'm back and due for some serious post action!! Damn.

Kara (otherwise known as Jars on my blackberry due to the Pearl's keyboard craziness) was in town this past weekend. I'm going to share an excerpt from one of her drunken texts to me mid-week while she was entertaining clients in Half Moon Bay.

"I am drunk in half moon bay. We ard still san fran sisco tmrw. Ca ll me tmrm morn"

And later on...

"Wake me up and put me in my commute to sfo?"

I shouldn't make fun of her because it was yours truly who got a little too tipsy on Saturday. Those mojitos sure catch up on you at the Lions Den. I was trying to convince Kara (Jars) that I just needed to walk it off a little bit before we caught a cab. That lasted all of two blocks before I was put to bed with dress and panty hose still attached.

Well, lots of exciting things in the pipe. My first race of the season happens this weekend up in Napa. Then my parents come to town, just in time for the Tour of California. February is going to be everything cycling, which is perfectly fine by me.

Till next time,
